Year Two - Creative Processes (2011)


 
And so I progressed to my second year.
Over the summer we were asked to narrow down our material choices so that we could specialise. I could not decide at all between textiles, glass and ceramics.
At first I started to do a bit of everything but it was just too much to concentrate on and I decided I'd rather get really good at one thing so this is when I settled firmly on ceramics (... with a tiny little bit of glass!!).
 
The first project was called Materials and Processes and I loved it but got the concept completely wrong. We were meant to be delving into one or two materials and trying out all of the processes and techniques related to it; pure experimentation - not focussing on getting a final piece. I, however, focussed on getting a final piece!!
Oh well.
